Unside

When a mysteriously displaced, confused woman appears in L.A., raving about advanced military technology, a man hides her at his store, showing her only to his Japanese American friend, Dirk. A mysterious man offers Dirk a Top Secret job surveilling the woman's unique aura on an intimate level - and the ghostly world that has been sucked inside of it.

This slipstream Psychological Suspense novel follows what seems to be a Team testing out vulnerabilities that come with a device powered by
the Lense-Thirring Effect which is produced as the Earth drags time and space with its spin.
The plot mimics the spin, and as we see the situation from new perspectives in the
Spiral Structure in Unside, we see through more and more illusions.

"This powerful novel brings up questions we should all be thinking about. I love this! I was right there with the characters and shocked by how real their story could be by the end." --Cynthia McKinney, who served six terms in the Congress as Democrat, Green Party Presidential Candidate 2008

"Unside is Tantra Benko’s love-letter to language and narrative. Mind-bending and innovative but always fun, it’s sort of like a much stranger Twin Peaks written with the sensibilities of quantum physics. This is the kind of novel where it makes sense to have dancing skeletons and a woman with a hole in her brain on the same page. And it just gets more interesting from there." -- Kyle Muntz Voices, Sunshine in the Valley, VII

"Bensko's 'Unside' is a slice of the weird and the wonderful, a kaleidoscopic maze of interweaving, boundary pushing, time bending narrative, in which I invite you to find you way. This should be very successful."  Lea Haynes, Arc

"Unside reminds me of Tom Robbins and Neil Gaiman playing submarine in a bubble bath, with Kafka occasionally popping up in spots, unsuspected... (while Charles de Lint plays the pan flute to his reflection.)" --Erika Weaver, stage actress

"I love it! This is the most bizarre book I've read in a long time. And that's a feat!" -- Chris Kelso Caledonia Dreamin', Last Exit to Interzone, A Message from the Slave State, Schadenfreude

"Like other trailblazers who've challenged us to expand our horizons, Tantra Bensko's latest book serves as a vehicle by which readers can personally rip through the fabric of space and time simply by turning each page." Victor Thorn, author, WING TV

"Wow, what a good read. I'm very impressed. Reading Unside mimics the waves of realization we experience when looking behind the green-screen: those shivers when we consider those deceptions in the light of DARPA's trans-humanist projects; the excitement of losing more layers of naivete and seeing the social engineering clearly." -- Randy Cunningham, Pop Illuminati, The Man With The Donald Sutherland Face
